Where We Are

Manhattan, or New York, New York
Sure, you know New York, but what is there that you know of:
- Rockefeller Center: about five blocks from us. Rock Center is not all ice skating and Santa Claus. In the summer there is none of that but there are a lot off offices. You can see Rock Center in the background when you watch the "Today" show (In Australia Channel 7, it comes on before "Sunrise"). This is what is happening in Rock Center right now.
- Times Square: about four blocks away, and you can see. New Yorkers avoid times Square like the plague because it's crowded with tourists, and do you know what tourists do? They stop and look at things. Da noive! what it looks like right now!
- The Late Show with David Letterman: The show is taped about three blocks away. I even had the luck to walk by when David Wright (a member of the New York Mets, a baseball team) was leaving. Of course I didn't know him at the time.
- Broadway: about one block away from us. Not just the street but the place with all of the shows. It seems like almost every show these days is a revival. It doesn't matter because I never went to many shows anyway, but that won't stop me from complaining.
- Central Park: Seven blocks from us. It's close enough that one day Margaret walked all the way. She was very good, holding my hand properly when crossing the street and waiting with me for the light to be in our favor.
