Instructions for the uninnitiated in Manly
Halloween isn't much of a holiday in Sydney, which is odd as
the two cultures which most influence Australia are British and American, and those countries
celebrate Halloween. The most common question I got asked was "when is Halloween?"
Therefore I hosted a little Halloween party for the kids of mother's group. People were encouraged to
wear costumes and we carved a pumpkin. Sorry, I didnt get any photos of the finished work.
We actually had ONE trick-or-treat'er and I had to scramble to get treats! My fault, I should have
known that the sign indicated we were open for business.
